Children’s Home Society of Florida

Established in 1902, Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS) is one of Florida's oldest private nonprofit organizations providing services to children and families.  While we started as an adoption agency, our mission of “Embracing Children and Inspiring Lives” has grown to a deep commitment to break the tragic cycle of child abuse and neglect. CHS delivers a unique spectrum of social services designed to protect children at risk of abuse, neglect or abandonment; to strengthen and stabilize families; to help young people break the cycle of abuse and neglect; and to find safe, loving homes for children.

The Mid-Florida Division of CHS opened in 1964. Our division has extensive experience in providing child-centered, quality programs. Each year, our division serves nearly 7,000 children and families. At CHS, we believe in empowering families to safely care and provide for their children.
